Are You Hungry?

That's how every interaction begins...

How did this all start?

What began as one simple question turned into something much bigger.

Before the Reverse Drive-Thru

8/21/2023

We started the account posting water park content and skits.
The views were decent, but something felt off.
We weren’t really making a difference.

3/4/2024

We grew up together playing basketball, so naturally we tried basketball content next.
But even then, it still wasn’t creating the kind of impact we were looking for.

The Idea that Changed Everything

What if we flipped the drive-thru the other way?

The First Video

From our very first post, the response was immediate.
When the video reached 1.7 million views, we realized something bigger was happening.
That’s when we knew we couldn’t stop.

Positive Impact

But the real confirmation came from the comments.
Seeing how people reacted to the first post showed us this was truly making an impact.
That’s when we committed to doing this every day.

We don't order food

We simply ask a question

Then they pick a spot and we got them with a

The Reality Behind the Window

Why do we do this?

Workers are under appreciated

Fast food workers are some of the most visible people in our daily routines and among the most under appreciated.

A fast food worker in a study wrote, "You get shown NO respect for all the hard work you do… I can’t get a thank you."

Another worker also stated that "They treat people with such disrespect that it’s unreal"

McFadden, Tyra M. "Am I really lovin’it?: investigating love and hate of job in the fast food industry." (2015).

Work long hours

Research shows time pressure is the number one stress factor for fast-food employees and excessive stress can reduce performance

In a 2024 study of fast-food employees, "24 out of 34 workers reported that stress negatively impacted their performance."

Abbas, Farhat. "Impact of job stress on employees’ performance and motivation in fast-food restaurants." (2024).

Low Wages

Research shows many fast-food workers earn wages low enough to rely on public assistance. For some workers, transportation alone becomes the biggest daily obstacle.

The study also shows that "People working in fast-food jobs are more likely to live in or near poverty."

Allegretto, Sylvia, et al. "Fast food, poverty wages: The public cost of low-wage jobs in the fast-food industry." (2013)

Worker Burnout

Studies show fast-food workers frequently experience mental, emotional, and physical strain due to economic pressure and workplace demands.

"Fast-food workers are often in a fast-paced environment" and it "can grow employee burnout."

Aguilar, Ricardo. "The Fast-Food Industry's Mental, Emotional, and Physical Adverse Health Effects on Latine Workers." (2024).

When the Story Became Real

7/31/2024

Not every impact was planned. One day, we met a worker who told us he was walking to work every day.
What started as a normal meal drop quickly became something bigger.

What Happened Next?

We decided to act

We started a Go Fund Me for him and within days, the Bakersmen community began to respond. A simple conversation turned into real support for someone who needed it.

This Is Why We Do It

8/13/2024

When we handed him the support, the impact was immediate.

Real People. Real Growth

Some workers didn’t just receive support.
They built platforms of their own.
